Hi Sat and Jo..... I am sitting at Starbucks trying to keep busy to avoid the run that I need to begin in 95 degree heat !

I was impressed by your 20 week headline.... won't be long and we'll be on the trail !

You need to practice eating hamburgers in that I don't believe we'll have fish and chips at night.

Fred and I are busy buying sleeping bags, trail shoes, electrolyte powders etc. We need to get more involved in the Trans Rockies forum and get more specific advice from those with experience at this race. For example, we need to be sure to bring baby wipes ( small thing, but a quality of life thing ! )

We have yet to solve how to get a 50 inch plasma TV to the campsite !

Cheers.

Hi Sat,

I'm not particularly religious either, but I am revisiting all options to sell my house.

My Vietnamese Hair Stylist who is Buddhist advised that I get a bowl of fruit and flowers, pray to an ancestor and then light 3 different types of incense.

Still extremely hot in Dallas, Texas... most of my runs are at a 100 degree heat factor. I will be in Denver next week where I will be looking for a new job, having been " Retired " by the struggling corporation that I worked for.

I must congratulate you and Jo and for that matter, Fred and me for our continued commitment to this August 25 insanity. We are really looking forward to meeting you both.
